Nightmare

A lifetime of sorrow
in a blink of an eye
Echoes through the valley of pain

It screams and it runs
As it claims countless lives
It crawls through your heart and in your veins

And again
I hear you scream tonight
But my friend
You can turn off the lights

We run and we hide
In a world that needs some light
We burn and we kill all through the night

There's only one way
That is set within your mind
Yet you need to prove yourself right

And again
I hear you scream tonight
But my friend
You can turn off the lights
And in your sleep
You'll die

Again, this is the kind of song nobody really gets, until you explain it to them. But sometimes you need to make up your own meaning for a song. Sometimes you need to relate in your own way. So, I'm gonna leave it up to you to decide what this song is all about. By the way, if you haven't picked up that the name is only a metaphor, please go tell yourself that you don't know anything and that you've wasted a whole lot of money and time trying to educate yourself!! ;)

Come my way

Sitting all alone
Killing all my thoughts
I buried them alive
In you

You know I couldn't stay
By wishing it all away
What happened to some day
With you

'Cause I'm dying just a little tonight
While I'm flying so deep through the night
Still I'm watching as you turn away

And I'm screaming just a little tonight
While I'm dreaming as you close your eyes
Still I'm waiting for a miracle to come my way

I find myself again
Behind these concrete walls
The light is seeping through
Who knew

I've strayed, I am lost
I stumble and I fall
But still I'm holding on
To you

'Cause I'm dying just a little tonight
While I'm flying so deep through the night
Still I'm watching as you turn away

And I'm screaming just a little tonight
While I'm dreaming as you close your eyes
Still I'm waiting for a miracle to come my way

This is a pretty straight forward song, the lyrics speak for themselves, so not much to explain or elaborate on, I guess. But as any band would have their ballads, this would be one of ours. Feel free to check out our Facebook page and listen to all our music, we'll be adding some new songs pretty soon, just need to get about recording them ;)

Keep rocking on!!

Disease

It's always difficult to open
Because it's so mind blowing
Yet so broken

Single file, I'm on a mission
There's no war outside our heads
So why are we losing?

Reality kicks in too late
We had it all for 3 months
Now that was great

A lesson learnt, the damage done
Now it's time to start
Blaming everyone

So, baby baby baby baby please
Once you were a princess
Now you're a disease
So, take your filthy mouth
And head back to the east
Go make your dollar bills
By giving someone treats

6 months have passed since
I heard your cry
You must be down in ashes
Ready to just die

So, now I'm thinking about you
I've been to hell and back
With what you put me through

So, baby baby baby baby please
Once you were a princess
Now you're a disease
So, take your filthy mouth
And head back to the east
Go make your dollar bills
By giving someone treats

This song surely has a story to it, like every other song, but the funny thing is, if you would ask me or Travis how we wrote this, the simple answer would be :"We don't know!". This just happened. we sat in our band room one day and it just happened. We wrote this song out of miles and miles of endless emotion about girls. Shocker...... :)

It took us about 15 minutes to write and we didn't care about how it sounds or what anyone thinks about it, we just cared about writing it! This song still needs to be performed live, seeing that jamming it to friends doesn't really count as a live performance. We'll work it into our line for next weekend's gig.

Be sure to check out the Luna Atra Band Profile to listen to this song and some others as well.

Give us your feedback and tell us what you think!! Can't wait to hear fro myou guys!

Time passing by

Sitting, staring at the clock
That's ticking every second gone, lost

Time heals everything
Are words only comforting
It's only time passing by
In my mind

Thinking of memories that ran away
Today becomes a memory of yesterday

Time heals everything
Are words only comforting
It's only time passing by
In my mind

Insights:

This song was originally written by a good friend of mine, who gave it to me and I made some adjustments to it. The music on the other hand, is all my fault;)

This song is pretty straight forward, talking about time, which becomes a relevant matter, seeing that it's only time that passes by when you actually think about it and not doing anything with it.

At the end of the day, it would only be time that passes by in your head and not something that is believed to be the great healer of a broken heart.

Thus, "time heals everything are words only comforting".

Be sure to check out our Facebook page should you want to listen to the song. We uploaded two brand new songs yesterday as well, be  sure to check them out!!

This is me saying rock on!!

Voices

Alone in my darkest hour
Can you hear me calling your name?
Unknown to my deep desire
To be released from this world of pain

Can you hear me
As I cry
Will I ever
See the light

I dream of a restless place
A never ending story of my mistakes
It seems that this dream is true
Every tear I cry, I cry for you

All these voices
In my mind
Calling desperate to
Be alive

Oh, all I hear is voices
Oh, all I hear is voices
Oh, all I hear is voices

This song has an interesting background to it. Each and every time I've played this song live at a gig, someone will come up to me afterwards and try to tell me what my own song is about.

One guy told us once that he can relate, because he hears voices in his head all the time. No offence, IDIOT!! But you didn't get it...

If you also had the idea this song is about some random guy who hears voices and then wants them to leave his head, please scroll back up and READ the song!! Or even better, LISTEN to it!!

Voices is about a guy dying. in his final moments he wishes to numb the pain he feels and silence the voices of bad memories running around in his head. He  refers to the tears he's crying for the loved, and lost, one in his life. As all human being are, he made mistakes. And it haunts him in his final hours.
